unheated pools in languedoc

Do unheated swimming pools get warm enough during summer in Languedoc? I know some people like it a bit bracing when you first get in, but I know I and my toddler and older children would prefer it nice and warm. Ok, so we%26#39;re wimps!!

Anyone got experience of unheated pools in southern France?

Hi Cally,

We%26#39;ve rented properties with pools in Languedoc and other areas of France for many years and have never found them warm.

Personally, I don%26#39;t mind this---you just have to go for it and get in.They usually feel fine after doing a couple of lengths.

My husband,on the other hand, generally says that they are freezing and it takes a lot to get him in one.

If you have a really hot spell of weather it will help and also of course if there is a cover to put on at night. Not all pools will have one though.

Thank you for the reply. I think you%26#39;ve confirmed my fears! Last year we found our heated pool too cold when it was set at 25 degrees.

We have 2 properties to choose between and one has heated, so I think we might just go for that!

Thanks again.
