I unsuccessfully tried to find this museum last November. It%26#39;s located at 2, blvd. de Strasbourg in the 10th. I went to this address but didn%26#39;t see the museum, so I thought I had the wrong address. When I look it up on Streetview I%26#39;m fairly certain I was at the right location, but I still don%26#39;t see the entrance. Can someone who has been there tell me what to look for?
Thanks

I am so happy you asked!! Next to the Marmottan, which is my favorite museum in Paris, Le Musee de l%26#39;Eventail is my second favorite museum. They change their displays yearly because they have so many more fans than they can display. They also have a wonderful little gift shop.
The site is: http://www.annehoguet.fr/musee.htm
It is open Monday-Wednesday from 2pm-6pm. The cost is 6E.
Enjoy! I can%26#39;t wait to go back there myself in September.

ILWP, thanks. I love the Marmottan as well.
I%26#39;ve been to the website. My problem is I couldn%26#39;t find the museum at the address. Is the entrance right on the corner in the Societe Generale building?
I%26#39;m glad to know it has a gift shop.
Thanks.

You can%26#39;t recognize it from the entrance. As I recall (I was there 3 years ago), you enter a large building which might actually contain offices or apartments. Up on the second or third floor is a door which leads into the Musee. There is probably a small plaque next to the building%26#39;s front door or something very unobtrusive but I doubt you could notice it on a satellite view of the building. Just head inside and go upstairs and you will find it. Be sure to notice the limited days/hours for this museum. Inside the museum is Anne Hoquet%26#39;s workshop (room next door). She still makes fans for the haut coulture, theatre/opera/ballet, etc. It is a dying art and there are few people left in the world which do this. Very cool!

I need to read better--I see that you actually went there last November and gave up. I seem to remember thinking I was at the wrong place too. As I mentioned, just go in and head upstairs. I can%26#39;t remember if it was the 2nd or 3rd floor but somehow the third floor seems right.

Thanks. I appreciate the response.
