Transportation from Rennes to Pontivy or Rostrenen

Does anyone know if there is train or bus transportation from Rennes to Pontivy or Rostrenen? In late April I%26#39;ll be flying into Charles de Gaul where I can take the train to Rennes, but after that, I can%26#39;t seem to find any information on getting to my remote destination of Mellionnec. If I can at least get to Pontivy or Rostrenen, then I%26#39;ll have a friend from Mellionnec pick me up. I%26#39;m trying to avoid renting a car.

There is a bus service to Pontivy that runs between Vannes and St Brieuc stations. It appears that it is quicer from Vannes. Timetables are available on www.ter-sncf.com/bretagne see under horaires et cartes.
