Hi,
Just checking if anyone has done this overnight bus ride from Paris to The Hague NL.
I checked the net and found Eurolines site.
Just wondering if it is comfortable? How many hours trip? What time is the usual departure and arrival?
Am planning to travel 23Jan09 evening.

Most of the information you ask is available on the Eurolines website. The only problem may be that Eurolines automatically assumes that you speak French, when you select a departure city in France. But perhaps that shouldn%26#39;t be too much of a problem.
As you can see, it takes them about 7.5 hours from Paris (Galliéni) to Den Haag (La Haye/The Hague). Departure times can also be found on their website (apparently 7:30, 11:30 and 23:00, but this may vary).
It%26#39;s been a long time since I used Eurolines, but %26quot;comfortable%26quot; is not what I would call it. The price is relatively low, that%26#39;s the only advantage over a high speed train (Thalys) - but don%26#39;t forget that the train may also have cheap offers.
Thalys prices vary according to availability, and a ticket Paris-Den Haag may cost €25, or over €150.

It%26#39;s seven and a half hours--7 1/2 hours--sitting up in a motorcoach seat..only slightly less comfortable than a Coach seat on a budget airline or being %26#39;racked%26#39; in a diesel-powered, medeaval dungeon. Any amount you may save in bus fare vs. Thalys train fare will simply be paid out (with exorbitant interest) to a physiotherapist to get the numerous vertebrae of your spinal column back into alignment and purchase an orthopedic back-brace after the trip. But...the really good news is that powerful prescription pain medications (vicodin, demerol, percocet, oxycontin, etc) are cheaper in Europe.
