Hi
Can anyone help, I%26#39;m not sure that I have the correct timetable information.
I arrive at Nice Airport on 6th March 2009 at 14:30. I don%26#39;t have any luggage so don%26#39;t need to wait for suitcases, but estimate that I can get to the Nice St Augustin train station by 15:00 at the earliest.
On the timetables that I have found, the next train to Cannes would be 15:51. Is that correct?
I know that I can get the bus to Cannes but my hotel is right next to Cannes Train Station so would prefer to go by rail.
Thanks

Yes, it looks like that%26#39;s the first train - 15.51 arriving in Cannes at 16.20.

Okay, thanks Soooz.
I noticed that you posted elsewhere about the bus. I%26#39;m staying next to Cannes train station, just wondering whether the motorway bus stops anywhere near the train station or is it just at the station on the sea front? I think it%26#39;s just at the sea front but if you know differently then I%26#39;d appreciate it.
Thanks

Hi there,
Sometimes on its way into Cannes the 210 makes an unscheduled stop just before the end of Boulevard Carnot which would be closest to the rail station. However unless you know Cannes pretty well it%26#39;s probably best to stay onbaord until the Gare Routiere (bus station) by the old port.
It will take a maximum of about 10 minutes to walk from the Gare Routiere to the rail station.
Which hotel are you staying at?- I can give you directions from the port

Hi
I%26#39;m staying at the Riviera. I know where it is - I%26#39;ve been before, but thanks for the offer.

Hi ,
If you%26#39;re staying at the Riviera and know Cannes a little, then the (unscheduled) stop at the end of Boulevard Carnot would be quite a bit closer for you than the bus station as they%26#39;re both on the far side of the Voie Rapide.
I would be tempted to ask the driver before you get on if he would be willing to drop you at the end of Boulevard Carnot . If he agrees try to keep your luggage on the bus with you rather than loading it underneath. The bus usually pulls up just south of the Cavendish Hotel. From there cross over Boulevard Carnot, walk south to the end (~30 metres) and you%26#39;ll see Marilyn on the side of Riviera just along the Voie rapide.
Occasionally the coach takes a different route into Cannes along the Avenue de Grasse, but the driver might still be willing to stop at the end of Boulevard Carnot for you. If not just carry onto the bus station and walk up rue Louis Blanc from the port to the Riviera.
Hope this helps

Hi again
Thanks for that. Glad Marilyn is still there :-)
