Apartment in Paris

We%26#39;ve decided to stay away from the Bois de Boulogne and are considering renting an apartment through Vacation In Paris. It is #205, has anyone stayed here that can provide some insight.

Sunkissed, I was looking at this apt the other day. It looks terrific! I can%26#39;t think of any reason not to rent it.

|||

I think we are going to book it. I%26#39;ll let you know what it was like when we get back Mid-Septmeber.

sunkissed,

did you ever rent this apt? we are thinking of renting it this summer, and i%26#39;m wondering how you liked it...

thanks,

Dina,

We did end of staying here, and were very pleased. The apartment was clean and it was centrally located. Within the same block there is an awesome bakery where we got chocolate croissants every morning. There are a few places near the apartment that has prepared dishes that are delicious. We would buy a fresh baguette, a bottle of wine and the prepared dishes and eat dinner at the apartment. This really saved us alot of money, and was very relaxing after a full day of sightseeing. The Vacation In Paris personnel were very nice, and if I ever go back to Paris, I would not hesitate renting from them again. Let me know if you have any other questions, I%26#39;d be happy to answer whatever I can. Good luck!

hi sunkissed56 and dina4, i too am thinking of renting this apartment.

I will be in paris with my husband and 2 children(20yo and 16yo) at the end of june(so not even sure if available)

I was wondering if you could let me know if the two single beds are ok for kids. My children are both tall. 5ft10 and 6ft.

So will they be ok.

Also is there a door on the bedroom - i know that sounds strange but my husband snores and it drives the kids crazy. At home we are used to space, and while I know that this will only be short term problem, i want all to be comfortable and not grumpy.

also is it close walking distance to some of the major sites. while i have been to paris before and can work the metro i would love to be able to do a lot of walking.

thanks

mille, hopefully sunkissed will reply.

we rented the apt from june 18-21, so my input will be too late for you.

i can tell you that the people at the agency are very helpful, so you should email them and just ask your questions.

good luck.

The twin beds are actually in an alcove, and there is not a door. The apartment itself is definately within walking distance of most major sites. My husband and I walked everywhere, we probably could have taken the metro, but we would start out the day walking and just kept going. I am not sure about the length of the beds, but if I remember correctly, they were average and your children are tall. If you are looking for privacy, I do not think this is the place for you, but if you are looking for a nice place to stay and the kids don%26#39;t mind not having much privacy then I think you will be happy. I will say that the apartment is a good size for Paris, and it certainly has more space and privacy than a hotel room. We spent the majority of our day sightseeing, and would come back to the apt at the end of the day to have dinner, relax and sleep. We have 2 daughters, ages 22 and 19, and I would not hesitate taking them to this apt with us. I hope this helps.

If you are looking for another alternative, two years ago we stayed with our two teenage children in Vacation In Paris apartment number 116 %26#39;Best view in Paris%26#39; - which it has!! It is right opposite the Louvre and you look out the balcony to the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. It could not have been more central and with a station at the end of the block, so easy to travel around Paris from. But the view was to die for and just made our holiday being able to sit and watch the lights of the Eiffel Tower go on each evening. It was a magic week for us.
