Bastille experts-way to bastille market

Is Bastille market in rue de la Bastille or Boulevard Bastille or Place de la Bastille? How do we get there, shortest way, from rue jacobs in the 6th? Should we take the Metro from St. Germaine des Pres? We plan to go to the sunday market and then walk to il de la cite and then to notre dame in the afternoon. This will take us the whole day, right? Then go back to our Hotel M.

Take line 4 direction Porte de Clignancourt at either St-Germain-des-prés and change at Chatelet to take line 1 direction Château de Vincennes and get off at the Bastille. Then follow the signs to either Rue Saint Antoine or Bd Beaumarchais.

If you exit at the escalator on rue Saint-Antoine make a U-turn and walk to rue de la Bastille, from there cross at the light with the crowds and you will find the market on Bd Richard Lenoir.

If you exit on Bd Beaumarchais just cross the street directly to the market.

When you are ready to walk to Notre Dame retrace you steps to rue Saint-Antoine cross at the light walk past the Cafe Français to Bd Henri IV, then turn right. Henri IV will take you to Pont de Sully where just after the bridge turn right and you can walk on the main street of the île saint-louis to find Notre Dame on the other side.

It is a very pleasant walk with lots to see along the way.

I should have said that Bd Richard Lenoir is one of the streets off of the Place de la Bastille.

Awesome. Thanks, Slowpokesf. I am actually looking at a Frommer MAP of Paris and eyeballing your directions. When in Ile St. Louis, is Rue st. louis En I%26#39;lle a better walk than the Quai? I mean, more interesting, with shops and restaurants? I could see that these 2 streets lead to Pont St-Louis to Notre-DAme.

What time does the market start on Sunday mornings?

If you walk along the Quay, you get a view of the Seine. But Rue St Louis has the shops and restaurants.
