easiest way around as a tourist ?

Hi all You Paris experst

We have decided that we will stay at Hilton Arc de Triomphe.

2 adults 4 children.

We will arraving late on a friday.

And will have the hole saturday for sightseeing.

Is there a bus we can jump on and of ?

How much is that in cost ?

Or is it better to walk, our main thing I think we would like to try to get into is the eiffel tower.

There is a bus (hop-on, hop-off, otherwise known as %26quot;HOHO%26quot;) that does a circuit of sites. Really, you can walk pretty much anywhere, and you will see a lot more. I%26quot;m not clear, however, whether Saturday is the only day you will be in Paris. If so, you might want to just take the Metro for longer distances, such as from the Arc area down to the Notre Dame area, and then walk around once you arrive there.

If you are going to be in Paris only on a Saturday, be aware that lines at the Eiffel Tower likely will be very long unless you are there at least 30 minutes before it opens. My own suggestion would be to go up to the top of the Arc instead, from which you can see all over Paris (including across to the Eiffel Tower). There have never been lines when I%26#39;ve gone there, and it%26#39;s a great view from the top.

Hi Thank You berkley-travellers

I have been to Paris several times and so has my kids, but since there are 5 years since we have visited the Eiffel tower and we have friends going with us we will try to go see that I think.

We had a car last year when we visited and my husbond was driving. And we saw Notre Dam and Versailles.

At Sunday after breakfast we are going to DLP, so only Saturday.

What is the Arc ? Oh, we are first going in ocktober

if that helps with the Saturday ?

Thanks again

Sorry, I meant the Arc de Triomphe (which, as you will have guessed, is near your hotel). October is a popular time to visit Paris, so do get to the Eiffel Tower early if you want to go up without spending a long time in line.

Hi Thank You Berkeley traveler

Yes, we will try to get up as early as possible, to see the eiffel tower.

And probably try to take the sightseen bus with hop on and of to see some more.

I would love to see the loivre museeum too, but that I think has to be with only me and my son on a later time, I don´t think its a suitble place for a 3 year old.
