Help including Monmarte into my day trip

Hi there,

I will be visiting Paris for the day, arriving 1030am and getting train back at 2130.

I have been before so know the area roughly. I%26#39;d like my itinery to be the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysses, Arc Triumph, maybe a batobus along the Seine or just a walk along the Seine. I%26#39;d also really love to visit Monmarte but i cannot work out how to fit this into my day. How far is it from Gare du Nord?

I%26#39;d be so grateful if someone could put my intinery into a workable order so i can include as much as possible.

Hi,

You can start with the Eiffel Tower, then take an hour boat cruise, Bateaux Parisiens board near the ET(www.bateauxparisiens.com) this, I think, will be more interesting than the batobus, on batobus there is no cmmentary and it can be slow with all the stops.

The boat will bring you back to the ET and then you can take the metro to the Arc, walk on the Champs Élysées and then take the metro to Montmartre. It%26#39;s better to make Montmartre your last stop, b/c it%26#39;s far from the other sites and fairly close to the Gare du Nord.

This map might help you with your planning parisbytrain.com/files/2008/10/metro_geo.pdf

I would also avoid Batobus, soooooo sslllllloooooowwwww as they stop to let people in and out etc...

Just take the one-hour regular Bateaux Parisiens. Also they are cheaper than batobus. And you will get to see much more.

From the Arch of Triumph take line 2 direction Nation and get off at Anvers, quite a quick way to get to Montmartre. I would also leave it last.

Thanks to both of you so much. I%26#39;m glad i asked now i have discovered there is a better option than the batobus. Will leave Monmarte until last, i was thinking this would make sense.
