4-Star Hotel in Gare du Nord - Republique on Hotwire

Hotwire is offering a 4-star hotel in Gare du Nord/Republique area for $145.00 on the dates that we%26#39;ll be in Paris. Has anybody booked a 4-star hotel in this area through hotwire? If so, what hotel did you get? Thank you.

Gare du Nord really isn%26#39;t a very nice area though, 4-star or not.

isn%26#39;t there some forum that specializes in posting what hotel a bidder got so others would have some idea? (it%26#39;s for Priceline but I think for Hotwire too)...something like %26quot;Betterbidding.com%26quot;...

I checked betterbidding.com and no one has reported that particular hotel yet. What are the dates of your stay, and the amenities it lists?

Another trick is to check the air %26amp; hotel packages first, then compare the results.

I can%26#39;t think of any 4 start hotels in the area.

Is it a real 4 star hotel (ie, inspected by the Tourist board and rated as such), or a made up hotel website 4 star?

I ckecked betterbidding.com and there%26#39;s no info there. I would probably have to pass on this deal since the area does not seem to be very great.
