Yes but the market is always closed on mondays.

Things tend also to be quieter in August from what ican recall

Thank you. I am so worried about it being too hot with no ac and things being closed up. It is so impossible to try and plan a trip to please all involved. I appreciate the comments.

fish4, stop fretting -there will be plenty to see and do for all ages. Your parents and MIL will probably like people watching as much as anything. How old are the children ? Let everyone pick their top %26quot;must see%26quot;(get a couple guide books) and start making a list w/ closing times ,etc.

Can%26#39;t predict the weather but last Aug. we never used the AC in our apartment. Other years have been sorchers they say.

Think about the Parisians : most of us do not have air-conditionning!

And in the event of being too hot, you can always buy an electric fan in Paris
