Pullman Paris CDG Ex-Sofitel

Help me! I am solely responsible for our trip to France this year. I just bid on two rooms for one night at 140 us dollars and I got Pullman Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport Ex-Sofitel. Well, my mom and dad in law said they were willing to pay top dollar for a safe and clean airport hotel because of some horrible experiences with airport hotels in America!!! But I simply could not part with 300 us dollars on up for the Hilton or Sheraton! Please let me know what you think of this hotel!! I am not familiar with Pullman hotels. Is it close enough to the airport? Any input will be very much appreciated!!! Thanks!!

I cannot comment on this hotel. However if you are flying our of terminal 2, then I would think of nothing less than the Sheraton. Although it is not a stellar hotel the conveniece far outwaighs anything else. It is directly in terminal, meaning no going outside if it is raining, and no hassle with shuttles, simply walk to your gate.

Can%26#39;t answer your question but a note about Pullman is that they just took over what was the Hilton Tour Eiffel in Jan. so maybe this Pullman at the Airport was something else until recently ???

Yes, you are right. This Pullman hotel used to be Sofitel. I live in America, so I know absolutely nothing about this hotel brand. But I guess I will soon learn! I am hoping the high number of unfavorable reviews are due to the fact that they paid 4-star-hotel-at-an-airport rates and were not happy with the value. I do know that it is relatively common that the very high price tag on an airport hotel does not live up to expectations. I indeed got a very nice price. So I hope!!

i stayed here last year. no complaints from me. the rooms were really nice and clean. the metro was about a block away.

Pullman is another mini chain within the giant Accor, a French company that has hotels all over the world, from De luxe to budget (including Motel 6 and Motel 6 suites in the US). Sofitel is one of their 14 or so chains so their only renovated the former Sofitel airport and renamed it. I hope that you aren%26#39;t seriously considering staying at the airport then travelling back and forth to Paris? impractical and boring in the evening. The only reason to stay in an airport hotel is to take a very early plane the morning after.

Thank you for that very good advice! No. We are staying a week in an apartment in Paris. Then we take a 2-hour flight to stay in Sevilla, Spain for a week. Then we are staying one night here to fly out next morning for transAtlantic flight back home to California! Again, though, thanks for steering me straight, just in case!
