I attended the NY Times Travel Show this weekend in New York and it was billed as the largest travel trade show of the year.
It seemed scaled back from previous years and attendance seemed to be off. There were only two very small exhibitors (out of over 500) dedicated to French travel. No official French tourist board was represented.
If you are interested, I put some commentary on my blog at http://www.travelingprofessor.com

Try to finding the new French tourism offices--(Masion de la France) in NYC, since they%26#39;ve moved from their old Madison Ave. location ?? One could easily be forgiven if they thought that the French didn%26#39;t want anyone to know about %26#39;em.

makes complete sense to me... when business is bad, marketing is the first thing cut. Not the smartest business decision, but its perceived as a luxury.
