Lyon to Paris-Park and Ride RER

We have 2 free days to spend and are considering a drive to Paris. I was looking to park at the closest RER station (coming from Lyon) Any suggestions and how long of a drive it would be from Lyon?

Easy enough to check for driving, routes, times and distance--

One assumes that you%26#39;ve places and things to stop for along the way to require driving. But in the absence of these, then the direct (no train changes en route) high-speed TGV train connection between LYON and PARIS only takes two(2) hours from LYON to PARIS-Gare de Lyon...and advance purchase fares can be very low.

Trains FROM Lyon TO Paris depart LYON as late at 21:00 (9 PM) and depart FROM Paris back TO Lyon as late as 21:54 (9:54 PM)...to %26#39;stretch%26#39; available time from a day.

I am just trying to fill 2 days of time. There will be 4 of us so the TGV was 500.00 for round trip. OUCH. I have a rental lined up so I thought I could drive to a RER station, park for 2 days and stay within the Paris area and use the metro. I may just forget it and keep close to Lyon. Thanks for your help
