Choice of Hotel

We are staying 5 nights in Paris in August, 09. We can afford to stay in a standard room only at The Hotel des Grands Homme or a superior at the Hotel Du Pantheron. Can anyone advise the best choice. Standard at one hotel or superior the other?

They seem to be right next door to each other at the Place du Panthéon.

So it%26#39;s not a choice between location and, apparently, they are part of the same chain (ie: Hotel Sorbonne - Hotel Jardin Odeon - Hotel Eiffel Park - Hotel Ferrandi - Hotel Pantheon).

I would suggest that, with the global %26quot;financial crisis%26quot; in full swing, you:

1) Book a room at a price you%26#39;re happy to pay, but which you can cancel; and

2) Contact the hotels and ask them to give you their best deal on a non-refundable basis.

Remember - the $AUD is fetching less than €0.50 at the moment, so price is going to be important...

I stayed at HOtel des Grand Hommes this past summer. It was very nice. Room is small. Hotel Pantheon is next door and is also very nice. I would book either hotel in a heartbeat. I would save money though and book smaller/cheaper room, but if difference is not much , or important then book bigger room. You can%26#39;t go wrong with either.
