Hi,
We are looking to book our first holiday abroad with our baby who will be about 8/9 months and are looking something not too far away and going Eurostar.
I%26#39;ve heard Paris isn%26#39;t that baby friendly on the metro and getting around, and for one reason or another we can%26#39;t put her in a baby carrier, so will rely on buggy.
Have been looking at Lille, remmes and other nearish places to travel on the train but would love to know where is best.
We don%26#39;t mind what sort of holiday, just want to get away (march/april time) abroad and see nice things!!!
So where is the best/easiest place to go in france/Belgium with a baby? Would love to hear other peoples reviews please!!
Many thanks
Alexis (not so much of a honeymoon any more!!! :))

Hi Alexis,
If you would really prefer Paris don%26#39;t be put off regarding getting around with the baby. We lived in Paris until our son was 6 months, then outside Paris but many trips into the city (and now back in Paris again). It is true that the metro isn%26#39;t great with a buggy but buses here in Paris are fine with one, it is very easy to get around the city just using the bus. I used to go all over the city with our little boy in a buggy with no problems. Also, if there are two of you the metro is possible if you need it. You will also find that if you stay somewhere very central you can walk to most places anyway.
If Paris doesn%26#39;t appeal to you for other reasons what sort of things do you want to do on holiday? There are lots of places a couple of hours on the train from Paris or Brussels that you may enjoy.

Thanks for that Alison,
We%26#39;re not that fussed about what we do, just want to stay somewhere nice and have lots of nice walks (so not on cobbled stone if possible), eat relatively nice food and sink in the french culture. Don%26#39;t want shopping or beach or massive activity!
Regards
Alexis
