traveling to val d'isere

Can anyone give advice on the best way to travel to val d%26#39;isere from Milano?

is there a bus service from torino to val d%26#39;isere?

I have traveled there from Bourg st. maurice, as well as a 4 hours bus ride from Geneva.

Hi Phil,

I haven%26#39;t heard of a bus from Turin to Val - I%26#39;d be very surprised if one ran.

Off the top of my head I%26#39;d say your best bets are to hire a car and drive, or to get a train from Milan to Chambery, change to a local train to Bourg, then get the local bus (autocars-martin) to Val.

If we%26#39;re talking about a trip in winter then remember that you probably want to drive via the Frejus Tunnel - the other, more direct routes will be closed.

If you pick up a hire car in Italy and drop it off in France, there will probably be a relocation fee of several hundred euros.
