Hi Guys
This will be our first time in Paris so not sure where to stay... After doing some research I am aware that Porte Maillot will be our main stop (which is in the 17th) from the BVS airport and we would like to be in near proximity for the return journey since we will have to be there 3.5 hrs before to get on the shuttle bus early in the morning and have a child and three adults travelling as well.
I have had a look at the Hotel Ibis Paris Pont de Suresnes and the Hotel Ibis Paris Tour Eiffel Cambronne, which one would you recommend that has better location (i.e near the main attractions, restaurants etc.). If Pont de Suresnes is nearer for departure, is this still close by to Eiffel Tower side and how would we travel to get there?
We did consider staying in an Ibis near Disneyland as we intend to spend one day there, again any advise would be appreciated whether that would be a better idea or would central Paris be more suitable.
Thank you in advance :)

I would be in Paris in May and was also wondering which is the best Ibis hotel to stay that is near the major sites? and of course near a subway too..any advice?

As mentioned on many posts there is NOT A SINGLE hotel that is close to ALL the sights because the later are all over the town. As for subway stations they are very numerous within the 20 districts of Paris. All Ibis hotels are pretty much similar. Any of the following would do (check www.accorhotels.com):
B. Hotel Ibis Paris Alésia Montparnasse 14ème -
C. Hotel Ibis Paris Bastille Faubourg Saint Antoine 11ème -
D. Hotel Ibis Paris Grands Boulevards Opera 9ème -
E. Hotel Ibis Paris Montmartre 18ème -
F. Hotel Ibis Paris Sacré Coeur 18ème -
G. Hotel Ibis Paris Bastille Opera 11ème -
H. Hotel Ibis Paris Tour Eiffel Cambronne 15ème -
I. Hotel Ibis Paris Gare du Nord Chateau Landon 10ème
J. Hotel Ibis Paris Place D%26#39;italie 13ème

Ibis Paris Pont de Suresnes is in, well, Suresnes not Paris, so it wouldn%26#39;t be close to much of anything, and not that easy to get to from Porte Maillot, other than by taxi (not near any metro or RER stations, just a somewhat north-south tram line.
None of the Ibis are extremely centrally located, but the list above will put you by a metro or bus stop within very reasonable travel around Paris. Do read the comments on TA before booking a particular one, as they may not be comletely %26#39;interchangeable%26#39;.

Thank you guys for your help, much appreciated.
Looking forward to the visit now :)

Sounds as if this may be your first time in Paris. Don%26#39;t get too hung up about where you stay as this will limit your choices. The transport network is excellent and easy to use, just do your research. The Metro lines link up the city so go for a nice hotel in a decnet area. Try Priceline for a bargain. I actually secured two nights in a Novotel in Montparnasse for £112. So don%26#39;t limit your options. You can get to Disney quite easily via the transport network. Once you have used the Metro a couple of times you will be confident, believe me. Always look at the signs above your head and on station walls.
The bus service from and to Port Mailllot is pretty frequent so don%26#39;t worry about that.
