Hi all paris friends
I was wondering about the queing time for entering the Eiffel tower on a Saturday 10 th ocktober ?
Will it be long ? Hours ?
Is it best to stay in the que before opening ?
And how long time in the Eiffel tower do we need ?
Thank You

I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s possible to answer that question: like the queue to get into the Vatican Museums, it can be hours or you can get lucky and walk straight in.
Mid-October is likely to be better than other times of the year, but then we were in Rome in early November 2007 (which is not a peak tourist period) and tried 3 times to get into the Vatican Museums. We gave up in disgust each time, when the queue had scarcely moved at all even though we%26#39;d been there more than an hour.
I would suggest you just rock up, see what it%26#39;s like and either join the queue or come back later.
An alternative is to take the stairs (which is what we did). It%26#39;s cheaper, you really get to see the stricture up close (and Paris through it) and there are 2 viewing platforms with great views out over Paris.
Best of all - absolutely NO queues.

Hi EllaDexter
Thank You for answering
I know it is a difficult question, we tryed to get in at versailles last year and the que started at the gate, so we decide not, but we went into the beatiful park and where there for several hours.
Thank You for the tips about the stairs, I didn´t know we could do it that way.

This answer may seem like a no brainer but here goes: If you have a number of days in Paris then simply %26quot;triage%26quot; your list of must see attractions and arrive at the first one as close to opening as you possibly can.
I have found from experience that the admission line suddenly swells between 10 AM and 11 AM when the tour buses disgorge their 40+ passengers en masse at this time. In some instances I have seen some lines go from 15-20 people to 120 in the space of 10 minutes when the buses disgorge.
Fortunately for me, I find that the light in Paris is at its best in the morning so arriving at my first choice destination early provides me a short wait and the best light for photos.
If you are traveling in an organized tour then there isn%26#39;t anything you can do about the lines but if you travel alone as I do then arriving early is the best choice to avoid waiting in the lines.

I agree that some days there won%26#39;t be a line and other days there will be super long lines.
I would suggest to get up early that day and go straight to the Eiffel Tower and get in line before it even opens up.
My boyfriend and I were in Paris over New Years and we got there right as it was open and decided to walk the stairs, than wait in the really long lines to take the elevator. Even though we climbed the stairs...we still waited a good 40 minutes to get to them.
