Help!

Hi, We are 6 college students trying to decide between 3 hotels in Latin Quarter: Hotel des Mines: 125 Bd Saint Michel, Résidence Villa Daubenton (an apartment): Address 34, rue de l%26#39;Arbalète and Hotel Carofftel Gobelins: ADDRESS: 18, avenue des Gobelins---does anyone know which hotel is the best location of the Latin Quarter? Merci!

Why don%26#39;t you use Google Maps to locate them and work out which is best for the things that *you* want to do?

I%26#39;m actually interested in which hotel has the nicest area in regard to restaurants, safety, etc, I know the Latin Quarter is a great area for the tourist attractions. Plus, in the hotel brochures (online) you are not quite sure where the hotel actually is....

Hi, the places you mention aren%26#39;t in the Latin Quarter.

Hotel des Mines is in the quartier du Luxembourg area, it is the one that I would choose, I like that area very much.

Hotel Carofftel near Gobelins metro station, is the least central, and the place on l%26#39;Arbalete are in the Jardin des Plantes area.

Everywhere in central Paris is safe. Just watch for pickpockets.

I don%26#39;t know the hôtel des Mines, but the Boulevard Saint Michel is the most central of the locations you mention. The avenue des Gobelins is certainly NOT in the quartier Latin (but in the 13th arrondissement) and the rue de l%26#39;Arbalète probably isn%26#39;t either.

If you want to have a look how the streets and the buildings you mention look, use www.pagesjaunes.fr (the French yellow pages)

It%26#39;s in French, but maybe you can manage: %26quot;qui%26quot; means who, %26quot;où%26quot; means where. There, you can click on %26quot;photo%26quot; - so you can see lots of photos of the hotel and the street it%26#39;s in.

All three locations are not bad - also look at the hotel facilities, and public transport - if it%26#39;s close to one or more metro lines, that also counts.
