Cross posted in Switerland forums. Looking for some thoughts and advice. We will be heading to Strasbourg from Chamonix in June. Originally we thought we would take the train from Geneva, which takes about 4 1/2 hours. I%26#39;ve recently looked into keeping our rental car, and driving to Strasbourg instead through part of Switzerland, which according to Via Michelin will take about the same amount of time, but will allow us to stop and take in the scenery.
That being said, does anyone have experience doing this drive, and are there any worthwhile stops to make along the way? We%26#39;ll have our 7 yo daughter with us. I%26#39;d like to get to Strasbourg in the early afternoon so as to spend some time there as well, since we are only staying overnight then headed to Paris the next day.
Basically looking for good places to make pit stops, find something to eat, maybe see an interesting sight or two. Thanks for your help!
